These are some of the many handcrafted one-of-a-kind Native American cloth dolls created by Denise "Strong Feather" Williams, a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe of Charlestown, Rhode Island. She creates faceless dolls because she believes that true expression comes from the soul. The full cloth body as well as the clothing & moccasins are hand crafted and designed by Denise. The dolls vary in size. The larger dolls measure approximately 12-14 inches tall (not including the feather) and weigh approximately 9 - 16 ounces. Although these dolls feel soft and cuddly, they have been created for display only. The smaller dolls measure approximately 10 ½ - 11 inches tall and approximately 4 ounces and are suitable for play. The dolls display Strong Feather's signature & the date the body was created (on the doll's back). Each doll has a specific identity number written on the leg and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. In addition, due to the small pieces (jewelry, beads, etc.) contained on the larger dolls, they are not intended for children under the age of 5.
